ummmm, road trip this weekend?
Actually, I know a couple of local back rooms, don't have to drive to Maine
And I'm socially distancing the next two weeks so I can go see my grandchildren . I have to behave, no road trip, damn
One place I’ve wanted to visit and haven’t yet.
Hopefully fall will be normal
I could go for some lobster rolls
Love that trip from Boston to Maine. We usually go to Vermont (Waterbury area/Hill Farmstead) first...but back from Portland to Boston. Novare Res in Portland is one of the best bars in the world. We love that entire area; it's one of the best beer areas in the world.
Yeah, Maine tourism is gone for the summer, but hopefully they can get back to business and welcome some out of state-rs for foliage season.
You ever end up making the trip Stevie I'll point you in the direction for the best Losbta roll in the Old Port. Join you for a beer as well!
I grew up in southern Maine . Nothing like gearys pale ale. Haven’t been back to Portland in some time. Good old days stumbling up state street crossing congress totally sauced up. Definitely need a road trip.My wife grew up right next to Hill Farmstead....great micro brews.
The Old Port is one of those places in Maine that is treasured. Hard to find another place in the world with as many Bars/restaurants in that small of an area.
Where’s your cottage what town? I grew up in kennebunk cape porpoise area between Biddeford pool and goose rocksMy wife grew up right next to Hill Farmstead....great micro brews.

Heady Topper is good. Tough to find in the Boston area. My brother in law who lives in Burlington gets it for us.Sip went downhill when they outsourced a lot of their production to Two Roads in Connecticut...i'm not sure whose brewing the last couple of months, but it used to be exceptionally good as to just really good now.
Sip and Heady led the NEIPA evolution...
Limington....on a small lake called Peqwauket.
Its about 7 miles west of Sebago Lake. I'm originally from Westbrook. My grandfather built the place 70 years ago.
Nice to still have it in the family so my kids can enjoy the same summers I did.
You grew up on the Ocean...Nice area
